  1. This command allows you to import data from a text file to a catalog.

  3. LightBox first asks you to choose a text file containing the information to import. The ΓÇ£Fields to ImportΓÇ¥ dialog box appears, containing two panels:
  4. ΓÇó a display record panel
  5. ΓÇó a field list panel
  6.  
  7. The display panel shows you record by record what is contained in the input file. You will see a list of all fields LightBox recognizes in the input stream, one field per line. For each corresponding line in the ΓÇ£field list panelΓÇ¥ LightBox shows the thumbnail record field where it will place the input stream data field.

  9. Selecting thumbnail fields and using the arrow buttons let you enable fields and move corresponding information from the input records to the thumbnail records.

  11. A thumbnail field is ΓÇ£enabled,ΓÇ¥ that is, ready to accept data from the input file, when a dot appears next to it. ΓÇ£DisabledΓÇ¥ fields are skipped during the importation process. To enable or disable a field, click on its name.

  13. To start importing data press the ΓÇ£ImportΓÇ¥ button.
